Tish has been amazing! I feel like me again - a lot less stressed, more able to cope with the demands of life and no more hot flushes at night. I can't thank Tish enough!

I booked in with Tish as I had gone past my due date with my recent pregnancy. Tish's treatment was fantastic; she made me feel very relaxed and informed and also briefed me on pressure points I could use on my own at home. Pleased to say I gave birth two days later, so I have so much to thank Tish for!

So, what's the point of acupuncture?

A growing body of evidence based research is discovering how the body responds to acupuncture and its benefits for a wide range of common health conditions. Many people have acupuncture to relieve specific aches and pains. Other people choose acupuncture when they can feel their bodily functions are out of balance but have no obvious western medical diagnosis, leading to western medical treatment. Many also have regular treatments simply because they find it beneficial and relaxing.

About me

My name is Tish Miles-Smith and I am a fully qualified, traditional acupuncturist working from a quiet and relaxing 1st floor clinic at my home in Wolverton, Milton Keynes.

Acupuncture has been apart of my life from a young age, at 14 I experienced the effects for myself, after developing asthma I had 3 treatments and felt a significant improvement.

Later in life I returned to acupuncture to help with my mental health, after years of anxiety I found acupuncture the most effective form of treatment and that inspired me to train.

I graduated from The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa with a Professional Licentiate which is a three year degree qualification accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board. I was also commended for the standard of my clinical work. My training was extensive and covered all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, with a focus on the five element approach. This means that I will consider your main health problem, together with taking a holistic approach towards you, as an individual.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and adhere to the Council’s Codes of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. British Acupuncture Council members are also registered with the Professional Standards Authority which is a government body set up to regulate health and social care providers, and is accountable to Parliament.

I am Covid-19 secure and have extra measures in place to ensure the safety of my patients.

For information on how acupuncture could help you, please get in touch via phone, text or email.
I offer free 20 minute phone consultations to discuss your needs.
